I wasn't sure if she'd feel like Leila or not until I got him in there.
I have to say, TS3 Leila pulls off those mischievous glances pretty well! Can't you just see her counting off every single thing she's about to do to him in her head?
And likewise, he's not quite sure he knows what he's gotten himself into.
Oh, I SO wanted to give you guys a shirtless body shot, but my computer CRAWLING and I just wanted to get out of there. Consider it an IOU though! ;)
There was a "sharpness" to TS2 Corbin's face that I'm not really able to achieve in TS3. I swear I have all the features and alignment right, but it still feels so smoothed over. I guess that's why they call them "puddings" lol!
In any case, Corbin is *nearly* there, and Leila likes him well enough anyway.
Little more picspam:
This lipstick she's wearing has awesome detail to it. Probably even better detail on other computers than mine! I'm just in love with it, and I would just about put it on all of my Sims if I could... maybe I could? Change it to a skin-toned color? lol!
I also tried to find a gap-toothed teeth set for her - and did actually find one, but it didn't seem to work in game for me. *shrugs* I will keep looking though. She doesn't feel quite right without that little gap between her teeth. (Which I also gave to Felicity, and it was cute on her too!)
This was before I found Corbin's proper hair, but I just love the way she's looking at him in this, all trouble. She's definitely Leila, for sure.
They look perfect. I love that last shot of them.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's hard to take the smoothness out of their faces. Still, I think Corbin looks great. He's got a very strong jaw, and a little tense spot between his brows which makes him look like he's concerned, lol. (And he should be with the way she's looking at him in that last shot.
Yes, I LOVE that I was able to manage that pinch in between his eyebrows! You're right, I think that was one of the TS2 features that always made him look so serious and thoughtful, lol!
ReplyDeleteOh, the cleft-fucking-chin, lol! (There's no way to do that in TS3, is there? Not unless somebody's made another slider I don't know about.) ...Which also reminds me that I need to make Drew, Amelia, and Jodie some time! :)
(Not until after the book is well done though, because it might mess me up, lol!)
Yay! I can see Corbin! He looks so much like Corbin in TS2 (especially around his jaw). He's handsome and I agree... I think Leila likes her (Just see the way she looks at him) <333
ReplyDeleteThanks MJ! :) I'm very relieved to see their chemistry carries over to TS3. She started grinning like that the moment she saw him, lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat was that that you used on Leila and Felicity in TS2? A face mask or lipstick or something? Always wondered!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, they look great! Leila is spot-on and Corbin is looking pretty damn close! The last pic is gorgeous. Whose house are they at there? Whoever it is, they have an awesome view!
In TS2, it was a teeth mask, under custom makeup, I think? (Here!!!)
ReplyDeleteThat's nobody's house at the moment, I just needed to stick them somewhere. It is a phenomenal view though! Corbin certainly couldn't afford it, and neither could Leila... at least not after her divorce, LOL! That's still in my placeholder hood though, so in the end, sadly, nobody will end up getting that view. None of my Sims anyway. ;)
They look awesome. You're doing a great job at translating them from TS2 to TS3. Oh the naughty things they seem to want to do to each other. It would be lovely if they could if they could do so in that house with that view. The thought of it...*swoon*
ReplyDeleteHi Laura
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new book !! I was so excited to see you were starting a new blog, and I am excited to see this spring from the beginning this time. I loved Lakeside Heights and all of your story telling. I am still dabbling with TS2 and since being laid off from job in Nov. I have been trying to not get to involved since it could be easy to spend my days playing LOL. In your opinion after some time now of playing do you like TS or TS 3 better and why ???
Hi Lisa! Thank you! :) Oh, I totally get what you mean! I work from home, so it's a great feat of willpower not to just sit in my pajamas and play Sims all day long! I have to say, some days the temptation is just too much, lol!
ReplyDeleteI've loved all of the Sims games for what they were. I played TS2 for seven years (eeek, lol!). It was an awesome game, but in the end, I think I'd done all with it that I could, and TS3 offers a lot of new and exciting opportunities with the open world and everything. There are still a lot of things I like better about TS2 (the babies and toddlers are much cuter, for example, and the genetics are more complex). But TS3 is proving to be *really* fun for me right now! Especially since I'm such a fan of whole neighborhood play. TS3 offers the ability to see the whole neighborhood in action all at once, and with mods, it's really manageable too!
Ha, does that answer your question? I do like them both, and I got a lot of good years of play out of TS2. Now I'm hoping to have just as many years of fun with TS3! :)
Yes, you answered my question. I knew you would totally understand the temptation of playin in jammies all day. LOL I have not read alot about TS3, for several reasons LOL !)my laptop just barely runs TS2 with expansions 2) I have never really finished anything I started in TS2 so it is still on my bucket list to do at least 1 neighborhood before becoming sidetracked for months and starting over 3) LOL the thought of buying TS3 and installing a dozen more expansions, not to mention mods and content is just too overwhelming for me right now LOL. Thanks again Laura I can't wait to see your new adventures here play out .. You truly are a gifted and awesome writer. Immediately I was draan in with just your new family posts. You go Girl !!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Laura
ReplyDeleteDid you have any favorite hood templates in Sims 2 ? Did you recreate any in Sims 3 ?
Thanks Lisa! :)
ReplyDeleteIn TS2, I always ended up using the Bluewater map. I loved the tight road networks and the long coastline. And I am working on and using my own custom world for TS3 as well. I would like to release it for download as soon as I get it a little more done. I just need to finish placing all those damned streetlamps, lol! ;)
;)oh I can imagine the street lights are work. Looking forward to seeing all your new stories and vivid details and creativity for sure.
