I've finally started placing trees for my forest area. I've got a good amount down in my main Metropark area, but OMG, it's going to take me five years to place as many as I need.
Picspam progress report:
Picnic area overlook.
It's called an overlook, of course, because it looks out over the river to Lake City (which is still 70% empty, by the way, lol!)
Overview of the whole park, including North Beach at the back (bottom-left). It's hard to see the picnic overlook from this zoom level, but it's near the bridge at the middle-right.
Hi birds!
This is looking out over the Hazel Park neighborhood, and beyond that which you can hardly see, Lakeside Beach.
Some sunset pics.
For the record, I don't actually like how high these hills are. I think I'll try to take them down some, if I can, though terrain sculpting has been causing me some crashes lately, so I'm not sure if it'll work.
And it gets quite dark here at night! I am not planning to place any lamps in the park except along the main road. People are supposed to be out of the park before dusk, but I can imagine some kids sneaking in here after dark. ;)
If you didn't see it elsewhere, I've also finished most of the Hazel Park neighborhood. All except the actual park.
So that's what I've been up to! I've also started another play game in the Petaluma neighborhood, and I've been having some fun with that, so I'll probably post about that too in a bit. But my main priority for the fall is going to be getting those last few updates of LH posted. I'll also be working on the new LH in CAW, and then after the LH blog is finished, I'll start playing and blogging the new neighborhood! :)
How is everyone doing!? What are you guys up to lately?
Ahhh! I was so excited when I saw this on my dash this morning! It's looking so so good!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking amazing! Are these CAW shots or are they from in game? I still haven't actually done anything at all in CAW, so I have no clue what kind of preview shots you can get with it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks awesome! :D The sunset pics are lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! Oh man, I suck at comments lately, lol!
ReplyDeleteCarla, these shots are from Edit-In-Game in CAW. It loads up the world in a limited-functioning game so you can use the building functions. But also makes for prettier pictures of the world than CAW does.
